Thinking of you today...

Today for lunch reminded me of my Dad....

It was a Peanut Butter and Jam Sandwich!! He has perfected this sandwich! It may sound silly to some, but there is a science to the PB & J and no one can make them as good as my Dad!

Let me give you some pointers to perfecting this sandwich...
  • Start with some good quality whole wheat bread
  • Jam instead of jelly - Jam spreads easier and evenly compared to jelly
  • The PB & J have to be spread evenly and equally
  • This sandwich isn't complete without BBQ chips and a Dr. Pepper to go with it!
  • Yum!

Also...

He makes the best grilled chicken! No one has come close to his grilled chicken! I have tried to make it like him and it's just not the same!

He gives the worlds best shoulder massages! I always tell him his hands are magic because he knows right where the knots are!!

Daddies are so important!

I know I can always call my Dad (and Mom) and he will be there for me no matter what! You are always there to guide and teach me.....I am always learning from you! I Love you Dad, always!

I can remember doing this when I was little!

This quote is so true!

Top 3 Dad Sayings:
  • Do you think money grows on trees!?!
  • Don't make me come back there!
  • Go ask your Mother!
(Too funny...I Love it!)

We have had so many fun beach days together that I will treasure forever!

I Love you Daddeo!!

Have you called your Dad (or that special someone like a Dad) today?
If you haven't, you should!

Have a Wonderful Day!

Shower Art

Sometimes it can be quite difficult getting myself ready with two little ones. Tensley will usually be in her bouncy chair or I give her some toys to play with on my bathroom floor where I can still see her. At times she escapes and I have to pause my getting ready to chase her down and bring her back into the bathroom. Tegan is usually playing with lip gloss and with my Victoria Secret sprays...she calls them my "Spritz" She loves them! She sprays a little of each kind on - she is always nice and strong smelling!

I got some Dry and Erase markers in the dollar section at Target. Patrick and I write little notes to each other on the bathroom mirror. (My mom did this for my brother and I growing up...she would put inspirational quotes or a simple Good Luck on your test today) So Patrick and I started doing this too!

I pointed the camera up, that's why you see my ceiling!

I decided one day to let Tegan play with the Dry and Erase markers on our shower door while I was getting ready...She loves doing this!! It keeps her busy while I'm getting ready too! It's great, it can be erased when were all done! Sometimes if it's a Work of Art she doesn't want erased, we take a pictures of it!

-Tegan's Shower Art-
It's a whale she said!

Don't look too close! (nope, that's right - we don't squeegee!)

See the fin at the bottom - It's by the bubbles!! Love it!!

Have a Beautiful day!!

Beautiful Always

Mom this one is for you....

I love you so much - our bond is so strong - I am grateful to have the most amazing Mom (and Dad) Thank you for everything you have taught me and are still teaching me.....for always showing me forgiveness when needed.....for always loving me unconditionally.....you are so strong.....you are my mom......love you always!

Reasons we need our moms:

  • On the morning of your birthday, when no one else is going to call you until noon.
  • The moment you pee on that stick and it's (oh my goodness) positive.
  • When the kids your babysitting won't stop crying.
  •  When the recipe calls for evaporated milk and you're standing in the grocery aisle wondering, Is that a powder? A liquid? A gas?
  • When someone gives you a compliment so good you'd be embarrassed to repeat to anyone else.
  • When your having a bad day or even a good day you can always share it with your mom.
  • When you have swung up to the sky, and it doesn't seem real until she applauds.
  • When you first get pink-eye or your first period. (yup, i said it)
  • When you need to know the exact shade to fix your under eye circles.
  • If you just need a hug or a shoulder to cry on.

Mom upside down is WOW!

If you haven't already today call your mom (or that special person like a mom) and tell her you love her!

Have a Gorgeous day!!

It Was A Zippity ZOO Dah Day

We went to the Wildlife Zoo on Monday! We had a blast! I do have to say, it is nothing like the San Diego Zoo if you have ever been to that one (I recommend that one if you have never been there - it's Amazing! Actually the San Diego Zoo animals are living in luxury compared to our poor Wildlife Zoo animals!

Our favorite animal was definitely the giraffes...Tegan got to feed them and she thought their super long tongues were funny!  That giraffe also sneezed on us which was really gross, but made us all laugh!

Tegan went on her first big girl ride...they call it the Log Flume Ride (its like the splash log ride at castle & coasters) She loved it and wanted to go again after it was over. I was really excited about that because I love rides! She is so ready for Disneyland!

Tegan and Daddy went on the Skyline too! She loved being up high and pointing at all the animals!

We had a Fun Family Day!!

Hope you have a Fabulous day!!

Halloween Has Come And Gone

I can't believe it is already half way through November! I know Halloween has come and gone, but I wanted to share our Halloween holiday with you all.

Patrick's Pumkin he carved!

Where I live Halloween is a lot of fun and chaotic for families! There are so many trick or treaters out here! To give you an idea...my mom lives on what is called Main Street, she bought a hundred dollars worth of candy last year and ran out in an hour! This year she was more prepared and didn't pass out handfuls to make it last longer. Even know it is crowded, we still had a blast!

Last year was Tegan's first year really trick or treating door to door. She was a cute little ladybug that wanted me to go up to every house with her. Not this year!! She knew exactly what she was doing this year! She was running up to the houses this year and she knew exactly what to say!

Here is a picture of Tegan as a sweet little ladybug from Halloween last year.
(I was pregnant with Tensley here)

It was hard for me at first not to say "slow down Tegan, wait for mom!" But, as I watched her it brought a smile to my face to see how excited and how much fun she was having! Smile! Little Tear!

This year Tegan wanted to be a Cotton Candy Princess! And that's exactly what she was! It worked out great because I didn't have to buy one thing for her costume! I had everything I needed at home...tulle, pink paint, thick white paper, one of her old ballet outfits, ballet slippers, and cotton (that I unstuffed from an old pillow). She loved it!

Tensley was a little Flower which ended up being too warm, but she was still adorable!

Patrick and I were a box of Nerds candy! It was so much fun because we made our costume together! We stayed up until 2am painting, laughing and eating Nerds candy the night before Halloween!! Patrick got the boxes from his work, our shirts and glasses were from the dollar store, and our tights were from Target.

Silly Fam!

Tegan and two of her friends, who she has known since she was a baby!

Excited little girls running to the Boo Bash and Tricker Treating!

A couple of Nerds!

Here is my Brother Clayton from Halloween! Pretty creepy!! There is what he normally looks like too!

Here is my Lil Brother Caylon from Halloween. He was a Refrigerator!!! CUTEST refrigerator I have ever seen!! His mommy, Jodi (my step mom too) made this adorable costume for him! Sooo creative, LOVE IT!!!

Have a Happy day!!!
