Smile Please...No Way, Not Me

I had a Holiday Photo Shoot with Tegan and Tensley...
This was the best picture of them.

Note to self....No photo shoots during nap time! I will have to try again a different day! :)

After I layed Tensley down for her nap, Tegan wanted me to take a couple more pictures of her before her nap. She loved playing photo shoot and had so much fun!

I Like That Too

My lil Brother Caylon was taught when they go into stores to say "I like that" if he sees something that he wants.....instead of "I want that". I started doing this with Tegan and it has worked wonders!!! We can actually go into stores now and when she says "I like that" I can say "I like that too, sweetie" It's great! Instead of "I want that" and I have to say "no, were not getting that today" and you know where that leads to...Tears (not always, but a lot!) We have been doing this now for awhile and she has been Awesome when we go shopping! (Thank you Jodi, for the Wonderful tip!)

We stopped at the Dollar Store today and I told Tegan she could pick out something. She picked the Plastic Balloons! I can remember playing with these when I was little! So fun! Would make a great Socking Stuffer too! Only a Dollar...can't beat that!!

My Love

On December 2nd Patrick and I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary!!!

For 5 years the anniversary gift is wood...so I made him this picture. I'm not sure where we are going to hang it yet. I want to get a black frame to float around it still, but it was so easy and inexpensive to make! I picked a picture of us when we were just being silly taking pictures of ourselves, so every time I would look at it I would smile!

Here is how I made it:

Supplies:

  •  Wood board (I got it from Lowes - cost $5.49)
  • Picture (I had it blown up 11x14 at WalMart - cost $7.57 -the total is "our" number, I thought that was so cool!)
  • Paint
  • Modge Podge

Directions:

  • Paint Board
  • Modge Podge Picture on
  • Paint your message
  • Modge Podge all over
That's it! Super easy gift!

Happy Anniversary!

You are such an Amazing Man, Husband & Father!
I Love You Always & Forever!

Holiday Cheer

Such a great gift to give yourself! I always have to remind myself to breath and slow down! I am often a worrier! Enjoy the moment!!!

Our Neighborhood Holiday Celebration Event was on Saturday....

Horse Hay Rides  Real Snow  S'more Making  Cookie Decorating  Performances by Little Kids & Pictures with Santa Clause! All of this was free..Bonus!!!

They also had pony rides, boutique & food vendors...these cost mula, but still so fun!! Some of my cousins came out to celebrate and play with us this year! Thanks for making the drive you guys!! Love you!

It was super chilly so we had to be extra bundled!

Here is my little giraffe and little pink birdie all snuggled!

Tegan was chilly willies!

Don't you just want to pinch those cheekies?! I know I do!

Here is one of the Santa pictures...This year Tegan asked for Sponge Bob mouth wash! Haha...too funny, right! I don't let her watch Sponge Bob (not a huge fan...not for little ones anyway) But Daddy thinks he is funny...so they watch it together sometimes. Tegan wanted me to buy some Sponge Bob mouth wash at the grocery store, I told her mommy wasn't buying Sponge Bob.....Haha, well she didn't forget about that and asked Santa instead!

Do you notice anything funny about this picture?
(Where's Tensley?)

Santa and Sister's! Tegan was so excited to see him! Tensley wanted to keep touching his beard!

Pony Rides!

Snowball fight!!

Thinking of you today...

Today for lunch reminded me of my Dad....

It was a Peanut Butter and Jam Sandwich!! He has perfected this sandwich! It may sound silly to some, but there is a science to the PB & J and no one can make them as good as my Dad!

Let me give you some pointers to perfecting this sandwich...
  • Start with some good quality whole wheat bread
  • Jam instead of jelly - Jam spreads easier and evenly compared to jelly
  • The PB & J have to be spread evenly and equally
  • This sandwich isn't complete without BBQ chips and a Dr. Pepper to go with it!
  • Yum!

Also...

He makes the best grilled chicken! No one has come close to his grilled chicken! I have tried to make it like him and it's just not the same!

He gives the worlds best shoulder massages! I always tell him his hands are magic because he knows right where the knots are!!

Daddies are so important!

I know I can always call my Dad (and Mom) and he will be there for me no matter what! You are always there to guide and teach me.....I am always learning from you! I Love you Dad, always!

I can remember doing this when I was little!

This quote is so true!

Top 3 Dad Sayings:
  • Do you think money grows on trees!?!
  • Don't make me come back there!
  • Go ask your Mother!
(Too funny...I Love it!)

We have had so many fun beach days together that I will treasure forever!

I Love you Daddeo!!

Have you called your Dad (or that special someone like a Dad) today?
If you haven't, you should!

Have a Wonderful Day!
