Hooya, Sailor!

My little brother Clayton, graduated from Navy boot camp on March 16, 2012. He was there for 8 weeks...the longest 2 months for me! This was the longest I have ever been apart from my brother! The only communication was letters. My mom did get a surprise call from him the week before his graduation and I happened to be right there, so I got to talk to him for a few minutes! As soon as I heard his voice the tears came a rollin!!! I am big sister and in a way felt like his protector too! This was the first time in my life sister couldn't be there to protect him! Tears are rollin in just thinking/writing this!

In one of his letters he sent me he said "I know you want to protect me big sis, but its time for your baby brother to spread his wings." lol. So true, I'm so Proud of him!

I will also never forget something he said in one of his letters to my little Tegan..."Give Tensley a big hug and kiss for me too. Take good care of your little sister. I know you'll be a great big sis because your learning from the best." Tear!
